Class Descriptions

Hatha

Hatha yoga is a practice of postures, breathing and meditation. Hatha Yoga allows the practitioner to develop strength, mobility and stability and is recognized as a stress-reducing practice.

Hatha Flow
Sequencing sun salutations and standing poses with emphasis on alignment and a focus toward linking the breath to movement, occasionally holding and examining poses to create a deeper experience for the practitioner.

Kundalini
Kundalini Yoga incorporates postures, breathing techniques, chanting and meditation in order to energize and awaken the Divine, Creative Energy within.

Power Flow Yoga
Classes are inspired by Ashtanga Yoga and The Rocket Series, which was developed by Larry Schultz as a means of making the Ashtanga Series more accessible to Western practitioners. Expect a unique flowing sequence of poses that will focus on a different theme or asana each class, with alignment queues given as the class moves at a steady pace, thoughtful sequences to help deepen your practice and most of all let you have fun in the process, leaving you feeling uplifted. All levels are welcome, class can be modified to suit your specific needs.

Vinyasa Flow
This vigorous style of yoga links breath and movement through a sequence of Sun Salutations and postures. The smooth, continuous flow deepens breathing, increases endurance, and will test the edge of your balance and flexibility. Vinyasa caters to those who are physically active, familiar and at ease with the basic yoga postures, and like to sweat.

Yoga 4 Runners
The class is structured with an emphasis on opening the hips, hip flexors, thighs, glutes, hamstrings, calves, IT band, and feet. Learn how yoga can increase your overall strength and flexibility as well as improve your speed, endurance, recovery, and overall wellbeing. This class is great for runners, hikers, athletes of all levels.

Yoga Blend
A yoga class combining Vinyasa flow and the 26 static postures of Bikram, in addition to a blend of Fusion/Power yoga, Kundalini, meditation, along with the study of the chakras system and various spiritual paths.

Zen Meditation
This class will consist of thirty minutes of Zen meditation followed by a discussion. There will be instructions on how to do the practice so beginners are encouraged to join. Zen meditation is simple and the technique can be learned in just a few minutes, though it may take years to refine it.

Level 1
These classes are designed to give you support to understand the proper alignment of Yoga postures and breathing technique, focusing on basics, allowing your understanding to deepen and process.

Level 2
Classes are designed to expand on your strength, stamina and flexibility, to include more advanced postures (inversions, backbends) and sequences.
